How to make Almond Flour!

Wednesday, June 4, 2014

So here's the thing..almond flour cost about $11 for a small sized sack.
Homemade almond flour cost about $5 a bag and with no added preservatives!!!
Actually no added anything!!!

Let's begin:

What you'll need:
Almonds
Blender
Sive
Bowl
Container

Directions:
Put about 1 c. Of almonds in the blender.

Turn the blender on high!!!!
Wait until it looks like powder of until it sounds smoother.
And sift it!!
You will see a lot of chunks after the powder is gone.
Put those back in the blender along with 1/2 a cup of almonds (if you have any more)
And keep repeating the process until you're done!!!

Parsley buttery carrots!!!GF,SF,Easy to make

So I love to cook but I don't do a lot of meat I'm more of the side dish kind of girl or dessert girly.
But recently I saw that we had some carrots in our fridge that had started to wilt.
And I remembered buttery carrots and thought it would be fun to make my mark on this wonderful classic and so I did.
This recipe is added sugar free, gluten free, and did I mention that it's stinking delicious???!!!
Btw tell me below if you want some cooking videos! I'm thinking about doing some but I don't want to come across as dumb or a know it all, so let me know!

So without further adue here we go!!!

Ingredients:::

5 carrots (Large)
1/4tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp parsley
1 tbsp butter!!!!(I feel like a mini Paula Dean)lol

Directions:
Peel the carrots and slice them into 1/4 in. Slices.
Boil them until they are easy to cut through but still firm.
Drain the water off and put the carrot slices back in the pan.
Add all the ingredients and fold the carrots like you would egg whites.(this keeps the carrots from breaking)
When you are done surve them on the side or by themselves.
I put them with some pork that had been marinated in olive oil, salt and pepper and the cooked I the grill.
An also cheesy broccoli.

And let's not forget the sweet tea!
In an awesome Starbucks cup!!!

Have you tried this recipe???
